Reflecting on my time at South Kent School, the overriding feeling is deep
gratitude. Not just for the education, but for the profound investment that
made it possible. My parents’ choice to send me here even while paying
full tuition, was more than a financial decision; it was a commitment to the
highest value of character development, intellectual rigor, discipline, and
mentorship. I am seeing the returns on that investment now. SKS gave me
a solid foundation in academics and athletics, certainly, but the true lessons
I learned, resilience, integrity, and the willingness to pursue excellence are
principles I will carry with me, shaping every challenge and opportunity that
lies ahead for the rest of my life.
The quality of the SKS experience is defined by its incredible community. It’s
rare to find an environment where the faculty and staff are so genuinely and
personally invested in my success. The tireless guidance, encouragement, and
tough-love mentorship I received from adults on the Hillside provided the
perfect preparation not only for the academic rigors of Princeton University,
but for navigating the complexities of the real world. Whenever I have the
opportunity to meet a fellow SKS alum I’m genuinely excited by that shared
connection. Having completed my journey there, I stand as a profoundly
proud alumnus of South Kent School, ready to take the next step knowing
that I carry the spirit, the ethics, and the invaluable relationships forged
on The Hillside.
